A series of Landscape (BW)
I love shooting landscape. Sometime landscape isn't just about colors! Some interesting landscape can be created by emphasizing contrast, and strong contrast can be produce by black and white image.
This Picture is taken just outside Likir Monastery, Ladakh. Using slow shutter speed to capture water movement. In the background is Himalayan mountain range on summer. Hot and fresh!
The Taj Mahal. Captured from across Yamuna river. An overcast afternoon at Agra, India.
A shot from top of hill where Stok Palace lies, Ladakh. Afternoon sun light coming from left, creating a fascinating contour on the mountain. It add some texture on it.
I just like the contrast of this shot. Very dark foreground combining with brighter background which is nice. A snap shot during my way to Alchi Monastery, Ladakh. Somewhere between Leh and little village of Alchi.
Getting back from Alchi, Ladakh, i found that the mountain texture is very pleasing. Kind of erosion effect look alike. Probably due to the snow or glacier. Just wondering what nature can bring something really beautiful. Shoot from a moving car with average speed.
This one i took at Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. What a beautiful ruin! Dying tree in the foreground and palace ruin in the background. A combination effecting on a very strange feeling. Morning sun coming from behind, adding some nice shadow of the tree.
The majestic Thiksey monastery. Another sample of Ladakh structure. Love the leading line created by the small tree, directing the eye to the hill monastery. Taken at midday. Hot and breezy.
Open blue sky, white cloud, hard wind. Shoot from top of Thiksey monastery, Ladakh.
